Rachel Mackrell, BA, MA, NIC, EIPA
Biographical Info
Rachel Mackrell was born in the Scranton area of Northeastern Pennsylvania. She attended Mount Aloysius College for her bachelor’s degree in ASL/English Interpreting, graduating in 2018, where she was the president of the interpreting club during the college’s biennial student run interpreting conference. Then in 2022, earned her masters degree from Saint Catherine University in Interpreting Studies and Communication Equity with a thesis focusing on communication among all members of an IEP team in the K-12 setting. During her undergrad, Rachel interned with SLSWPA and Helen Keller National Center for the DeafBlind.
Rachel holds her NIC certification through RID, and her EIPA certification, having four years experience in the K-12 setting. Rachel also avidly works as a theatre, tactile, religious, and community interpreter.
